UGC has announced some major changes in CUET UG. This has been done to make the admission process more standardised and transparent.&nbsp; One of the biggest changes in CUET 2025 is the reduction in subjects from 63 to 37. The admission to the subjects that have been dropped will be based on General Aptitude Test (GAT). Earlier the test was conducted in 33 languages but now as per the new changes in CUET 2025, aspirants can now answer only in 13 languages. Earlier the test was conducted in the hybrid mode but now it will be conducted in the CBT mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cuet-aspirants-to-appear-in-any-subject\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"CUET_Aspirants_to_Appear_in_Any_Subject\"><\/span>CUET Aspirants to Appear in Any Subject<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aspirants can now appear in any subject irrespective of the subject they have studied in class 12.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cuet-2025-exam-language\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"CUET_2025_Exam_Language\"><\/span>CUET 2025 Exam Language<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The exam will be conducted in 13 languages only &#8211; English, Assamese, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Domain_Specific_Subjects_Reduced_in_CUET_2025\"><\/span>Domain Specific Subjects Reduced in CUET 2025<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a reduction in the domain specific subjects and it has been reduced to 23 from 29. The papers that have been discontinued include Entrepreneurship, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Teaching Aptitude, Legal Studies and Engineering Graphics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"CUET_Major_Changes_%E2%80%93_Exam_Duration\"><\/span>CUET Major Changes &#8211; Exam Duration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CUET UG exam duration is now 60 minutes and the optional questions have been removed. CUET 2025 question paper will have all compulsory questions.
