A petition has been filed against CAT results 2024 over an error in a question paper by a candidate at the Delhi High Court. CAT result is a national-level top management exam. The conducting body of CAT are IIMs on a rotational basis. This year CAT 2024 was conducted by IIM Calcutta on November 24, 2024. A CAT test taker – Aditya Kumar Mallick has filed a petition before the Delhi High Court challenging the CAT results 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<\/span><\/span>\n\n\n\n

After CAT exam is conducted the provisional answer key of CAT is released. In order to ensure transparency an objection window is raised to challenge the answer key of CAT. Candidates have to raise the objection through the window before the deadline. After reviewing the raised objection, a final decision is taken by the review experts. This year as well after the release of the provisional answer key of CAT on December 3 by IIM Calcutta there were a total of 272 objections raised against one question in the VARC section of CAT. This question was from slot 2 of the CAT exam 2024. IIM Calcutta released an official document for CAT final answer key stating its decision that there are no changes in the final answer key. This decision of no changes in CAT final answer key has started the CAT result controversy. The CAT aspirant has challenged this decision and stated that his objection has been supported by CAT experts and experienced faculty members of various CAT coaching centres. He also said that in spite of the official result announcement date being in January, IIM Calcutta had released the CAT results hastingly on December 19, 2024. The next hearing about this case is scheduled on January 3, 2025. Let\u2019s wait for the final decision as this might result in delay of the IIM admission process although there is no official notification about any delay in the admission process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
