DU releases an annual report detailing eligibility criteria and other key information for aspirants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, Maths was not mandatory for B.Com (H), and non-maths students could opt for Accounts\/Bookkeeping as their preferred subject. However, this year&#8217;s report tells a different story\u2014Maths is now compulsory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This could be an oversight due to the following reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-announced-too-late\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Announced_Too_Late\"><\/span><strong>1. If this change stands, all state boards would need to adjust their curricula, which is impractical. Moreover, a commerce student without Maths shouldn&#8217;t be barred from UG programs requiring it.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-hurting-du-s-reputation\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Hurting_DUs_Reputation\"><\/span><strong>3.
