This decade long journey has seen the institute being ranked at number 15 by NIRF among all the B-Schools in the country, and number 7 in the list of the 20 IIMs. However, none of this comes as a surprise, the institute was always destined for such rapid growth. Historically, Trichy has been a land of scholars and other great institutes like NIT Trichy et cetera. One of the reasons for this IIM\u2019s growth has been the dynamic leadership which has overseen its rise from \u2018just another IIM\u2019 to one of the \u2018top IIMs in the country\u2019. So how does IIM Trichy perform on this aspect? Well, the average placement for a student is\u00a0<strong>Rupees 14.96 Lakhs<\/strong>. But of course, ROI is always mentioned with respect to the investment made. So the fee that is charged for the two-year flagship program as well as the HR program is\u00a0<strong>Rupees 16.5 Lakhs<\/strong>. To put things into perspective, the next best IIM in the same tier of colleges (as ranked by NIRF), IIM Udaipur has an average placement of\u00a0<strong>Rupees 13.84 Lakhs<\/strong>\u00a0for a fee that stands somewhere around\u00a0<strong>Rupees 17 Lakhs<\/strong>. Clearly, there is only one winner here. The placement scene at IIM Trichy has not only been promising but some of the numbers posted by the institute over the past couple of years has been nothing short of remarkable. So here\u2019s a brief gist of what to expect: Average student? Well, high chances of bagging yourself a placement of around 14.96 Lakhs. Scared that the engineers on campus might take away the good jobs? Well, the good news is that there has been an increase of\u00a0<strong>31% in the average CTC among non-engineers<\/strong>. Like your summer internship role and want to work full time? The institute has seen an\u00a0<strong>increase of 236% in the number of pre-placement interviews and pre-placement offers over the past year<\/strong>. Some of the biggest companies visiting the campus include\u00a0<strong>McKinsey and Company, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase &amp; Co., Amazon, Avalon Consulting, Value Labs, Dabur et cetera.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Campus life:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Step into the 172-acre world of IIM Tiruchirappalli and you\u2019ll find yourself lost in the beautiful skies that Trichy has to offer. This state of the art campus has been hailed by its former director Mr. Bhimaraya Metri as the best campus among all of the IIMs and one which could even give the foreign institutes a run for their money. The campus is teeming with life throughout the day, whether it be the students going towards to Academic Block, the Student Mess, the Night Canteen, the Sports complex or even their hostels. Each student gets a single occupancy room irrespective of the year that they are in. The institute also boasts a one of a kind Learning Resource Centre which acts as both an offline as well as an online library. The candidates are required to have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent till the latest examination.<\/p>\n<p>Selection Procedure: For both PGPM as well as PGPM HR, the first round of selection is shortlisting for the WAT-PI process based on CAT Percentiles.<\/p>\n<p>Post the personal interview and the written analysis test, the scores from the WAT-PI round and other factors are taken into consideration for final selection.<\/p>\n<p>For PGPM, the following is the breakdown for the final composite score responsible for the admission:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>CAT score:<strong>50 percent weightage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Written Analysis Test (<strong>10 percent weightage<\/strong>):<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Vocabulary, the content of writing and writing skills<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Personal Interview (<strong>18 percent weightage<\/strong>):<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Communication Skills<\/li>\n<li>Academic Ability<\/li>\n<li>Current Affairs &amp; General Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Managerial &amp; Leadership Abilities<\/li>\n<li>Co-curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Work experience:\u00a0<strong>5 percent weightage<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Performance at Undergraduate level:\u00a0<strong>10 percent weightage<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This performance shall be measured by multiplying the percentage marks scored by the weightage applicable to the discipline as shown below. 10 percent of the score so obtained shall be considered in the overall evaluation.
