Admissions to the B.Des program was conducted through a joint admission process, with the allotment of seats to be done based on UCEED 2025 merit rank. UCEED exam evaluates candidates on their creativity skills, visualization, logical reasoning, and design aptitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UCEED 2025 exam was successfully conducted on January 19, 2025 of which results were announced on March 07, 2025. Candidates can download the scorecard from UCEED official website www.uceed.iitb.ac.in. The UCEED 2025 seat allotment round 1 has been released on April 21, 2025, and will continue till July 3, 2025. The seats are provisionally allocated based on the candidate\u2019s All India Rank (AIR)in UCEED 2025, their category, and their preferred institutes. Selected candidates will receive provisional allotment letters via their registered email addresses. Candidates are advised to visit the website from time to time in case of any changes in date(s)(if any).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-guidelines-ucced-2025-seat-allotment\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Guidelines_%E2%80%93_UCCED_2025_Seat_Allotment\"><\/span><strong>Guidelines &#8211; UCCED 2025 Seat Allotment<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following rules will govern the joint seat allotment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>If the selected candidates DO NOT remit the seat acceptance fee before the deadline or DECLINE the admission, their application will stand CANCELLED.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>They will NOT be considered for the subsequent round of seat allotment.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These vacant seats will be offered to other eligible candidates to be filled up during the subsequent rounds (if any) of seat allotment.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>If applicants are allotted their FIRST choice of institute, they can either ACCEPT (\u2018freeze\u2019) the offer or DECLINE it. If they choose to DECLINE the offer, they will NOT be considered for subsequent rounds, and their current seat allocation shall be CANCELLED. This seat will be filled during the subsequent rounds (if any) of allotment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Suppose applicants are allotted their SECOND\/THIRD\/FOURTH\/FIFTH choice of institute. In that case, they can opt to either ACCEPT (\u2018freeze\u2019) the choice or ACCEPT WITH THE OPTION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR UPWARD MOVEMENT (\u2018float\u2019) choice for subsequent rounds (if any) of the joint seat allocation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If the candidates choose the \u2018freeze\u2019 option, it means they have ACCEPTED the offer and do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Such candidates will NOT be considered in subsequent round(s) of seat allocation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the candidates choose \u2018float\u2019 option, it means they have ACCEPTED the offer and have indicated that, if admission to an institute of their higher preference is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted institute. Such candidates will be considered in subsequent round(s) of seat allocation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For candidates who choose the \u2018float\u2019 option, allocation of a seat in an institute of their higher preference in a subsequent round would AUTOMATICALLY result in the forfeiture of the seat accepted by them in the earlier round.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>In cases of ACCEPT\/FLOAT\/FREEZE, the candidates must pay the complete amount of the seat acceptance fee mentioned in the provisional seat allotment letter. Failure to make the payment will result in the cancellation of their allotted seat, and they will not be considered in any further rounds (if any) of seat allocation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Candidates offered seats have to remit the seat acceptance fee only ONCE. Thus, candidates allotted another seat (because they chose the \u2018float\u2019 option) need not pay the seat acceptance fee again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>For candidates who accept the offered seat, the seat acceptance fee will be adjusted against the institute fees of the admitting institute at the time of joining. For candidates who decline the offered seat after remitting the seat acceptance fee, the refund of the seat acceptance fee will be governed by the policies of the admitting institute.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>To avoid any last-minute unforeseen transaction issues, <strong>candidates are advised to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee for a round well before the end time\/date of the corresponding round.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>All candidates, who will pay the Seat Acceptance Fee in rounds I and II, can withdraw till the round-II withdrawal end date for claiming the refund. Withdrawals can be done only during the prescribed withdrawal schedules. The refund will be \u20b9 55,000\/- (Rupees Fifty-Five Thousand only) for GEN\/EWS\/OBC-NCL candidates, and \u20b9 10,000\/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) for SC\/ST\/PwD candidates, after deducting the seat cancellation and processing charges of \u20b9 5,000\/- (Rupees Five Thousand only).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li>Seat Allotment Rounds III, IV and V are for filling of the vacant seats, if any. The option \u201cFLOAT\u201d will remain ACTIVE till the payment end date of Round IV.
