He is an engineer who scored 98.77 percentile in CAT (88.75\/98.04\/99.51). He enrolled in iQuanta\u2019s CAT 2025 full course, and his classes began in February. He used to attend the live and application sessions regularly. Being an engineer, his LRDI and Quant were strong. But VARC was his weakest section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He struggled a lot with VARC initially, but his disciplined approach helped him conquer all. The iQuanta CAT Topper Pobitra turned his weakest area into a scoring section. It developed through different experiences and later turned into a full-fledged preparation. In 2022, he heard about CAT during the semester exam phase at IIT.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A simple conversation with his mentor later led him to rethink his career plans. His mentor advised him to consider an MBA and also told him about the CAT and GMAT exams needed to get into top institutes. That\u2019s when he got to know more about management entrance exams.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, a friend shared how he scored 99.66%ile and got an IIM call, and this literally gave him a clear idea about the CAT selection process. With this in 2024, a batchmate of his told him about his detailed CAT preparation journey using iQuanta mocks and IIM ABC modules. That\u2019s how he first came to know about iQuanta. These small incidents built his curiosity about CAT and the IIMs. After that, he joined the iQuanta CAT 2025 batch to prepare with focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-varc-comeback\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_VARC_Comeback\"><\/span><strong>The VARC Comeback<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>VARC was the toughest section for him. His accuracy was very low, and he used to spend a lot of time solving RCs. Then came structured guidance from Shabana ma\u2019am, which changed his approach completely. He built a simple routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>He reads articles daily.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He wrote summaries to sharpen his knowledge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He practised RCs with better clarity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This improved his comprehension and speed. His VARC scores improved from 6 to 53 in mocks. Confidence followed performance. He is truly grateful to the iQuanta community (faculties, friends) for the immense support during his entire prep duration. He thanked Shabana ma\u2019am for the VARC guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-strength-in-lrdi-and-quant\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Strength_in_LRDI_and_Quant\"><\/span><strong>Strength in LRDI and Quant<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though LRDI and Quant were strong, he did not ignore them. He followed all live and application classes religiously.&nbsp; He made proper notes, which later helped him during the revision phase.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mock-strategy-that-worked\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mock_Strategy_that_Worked\"><\/span><strong>Mock Strategy that Worked<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>He started taking iCAT mocks around June. In the early phase, his scores were quite low, especially in VARC. Still, he did not let that shake him. He gave more time and ensured that he was improving over time. He took help from a few of his friends who were strong in VARC. This helped him clear his doubt, and eventually he started improving.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-from-score-to-convert\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From_Score_to_Convert\"><\/span><strong>From Score to Convert<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All these small efforts resulted in a big win. Scoring 98.77%ile in CAT 2025 is no cakewalk. His efforts paid off, but he kept going further. Small daily efforts matter more than random long hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Balance all sections. Do not ignore your weak area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start mocks early. Learning happens through testing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyse deeply. Mock analysis is more important than the mock itself.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid multiple resources. You don\u2019t have to be perfect in the beginning to excel. Progress takes time. He started off struggling with VARC. But things began to change slowly. He analysed his mistakes and worked on them seriously. This eventually helped him convert IIM Shillong. His story is simple with a powerful message.
