formed under the National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Act, 2021.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jurisdiction: National Capital Region and the bordering states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replaced: The Supreme Court-formed Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Composition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Chairperson: Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of environment or 25 years of experience in public administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tenure: 3 years or until the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members: Must include representation from the Union Government, concerned states, technical experts, and NGOs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Powers and Functions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>It has overriding powers over state governments in case of conflict.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It can restrict activities causing pollution, inspect industries, and shut down non-compliant units.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In case of non-compliance, the document states a penalty of imprisonment of up to 5 years or a fine of up to Rs. 1 crore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It enforces the Graded to build a farmer-centric, economical model that enhances productivity through the dual use of land for food and energy security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advantages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Optimal land use and
