CLAT UG PREPARATION STRATEGY in 2027

Best CLAT Online Coaching strategy

The CLAT exam pattern was completely changed since CLAT 2019. The questions that used to be one-liners are now asked in paragraph formats. Even GK questions are asked as long paragraphs. You can go through the CLAT 2019 and onwards exam papers to understand the paper pattern for the same. Hence, any old material or strategies should be discarded. Here, iQuanta will be providing you with a comprehensive CLAT strategy based on the new paper pattern.

1. Prerequisites : Before jumping into the CLAT preparation strategy, there are some prerequisites. Aware yourself of the exam pattern and syllabus. Apart from going through the aforementioned exam details, go through one of the CLAT past year papers and analyse all types of questions asked. CLAT Online Coaching resources can help guide you in this analysis effectively.

2. Self Study or Coaching? : Another question that comes to mind would be if you wish to prepare by yourself or take help from external resources. The best decision would be a combination of both. Now, the CLAT syllabus is not something that you've previously covered in your school curriculums. Hence, coaching would give a direction to your preparation by providing you with relevant material and tests. You can then solve assignments and practice material for self-study. Opting for CLAT coaching online can give you the flexibility to balance your schedule while accessing top-notch preparation resources.

3.Study Material:Choosing relevant study material that follows the recent exam pattern is recommended for efficient preparation. Books are generally 8-10 years old and are not updated as per the latest CLAT paper. So relying entirely on them is not recommended. Use a combination of online resources and books which take care of both your basic concepts and practice to cover your preparation. Online CLAT coaching platforms often provide updated material tailored to the latest exam pattern.

4.Previous Year Papers: Previous year question papers are the best resource to practice from. Solving PYQs will help you get accustomed to the actual exam and make you familiar with the high-weightage topics. You can also take previous year papers in the form of tests on our website. These are also an integral part of CLAT coaching online programs.

5.Prepare a Timetable: There is no one timetable that everyone can fit into their schedule. Everyone has different priorities and preferences of study time. Hence, prepare your own timetable and stick to it. This will inculcate discipline in your preparation. Online CLAT coaching sessions often provide guidance on how to manage your time effectively.

6.Work on Fundamentals: Building up basic concepts should be the first thing in your mind before jumping on to the advanced level questions. There is enough time if you're starting now. So focus on studying the fundamental concepts and practice easier questions first. Then, gradually move on to the higher-level questions. CLAT online coaching classes ensure that the fundamentals are well-covered before advancing to complex topics.

7.Practice Multiple Questions: After completing one topic, practice as many questions as you can from that particular topic. Go from lower to higher difficulty levels. Only revising the concepts multiple times through practice can get you prepared. For the same reason, we provide topic-wise practice assignments for all the topics that are covered in class. These will be available on your student dashboard and will be unlocked after completion of each respective topic. Online CLAT coaching platforms often provide an extensive question bank for practice.

8.Mocks and Analysis: CLAT Mock tests are a simulation of the actual exam. So as the exam nears, taking mocks regularly should be a part of your strategy. Additionally, analysing the mocks you take and figuring out your weaker areas is equally important. Taking mocks will give you an idea of where you stand with your preparation. Analysing them will give you an idea of your strengths and weaknesses which in turn will help you give a final touch to your CLAT preparation. CLAT coaching online programs usually include structured mock tests and analysis sessions.

Expert Tip for CLAT Exam:

1.Inculcate a Reading Habit: The changed CLAT exam pattern only consists of long paragraph-based questions. So if you do not practice reading, you might get overwhelmed when you'll see there is so much to be read. Hence, practice reading through articles and newspapers daily. CLAT online coaching modules often emphasize building reading speed and comprehension skills.

2.Practice Calculation: Practice basic calculations. CLAT has 120 questions that need to be solved within 120 minutes. So, you cannot waste your precious time on calculations. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, squares, cubes, and their roots must be learnt. Many online CLAT coaching classes include calculation tricks to help save time during the exam.
