Overview
For admission in the Undergraduate Courses such as BA, B.Com, B.Sc programs, as well as honors courses in Delhi University (DU), students have to appear in the CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test) examination. Following successful completion of the entrance exam, candidates are further required to submit their applications via the DU admission portal. Seat allocation is managed through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal, taking into account CUET scores as the primary determinant.
DU Admission Process
Step I : CUET UG Registration
The first step in the DU admission process is registering yourself for the CUET UG test at their official website i.e. https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. This process begins after the release of the official notification from the NTA (National Testing Agency). It is vital that students select Delhi University while filling the form to be considered for admission.
Step II : Appear for the CUET UG 2024
After registering for CUET UG, the next step in the DU application process is appearing for the exam and scoring as much as possible. CUET is a national level exam where approximately 16.85 Lakh candidates (as per the data of 2023) register for the exam.
Step III : Register for DU UG CSAS
The third step is important, the candidates have to register themselves in the CSAS portal on their official website i.e. https://ugadmission.uod.ac.in/ as a new user and select the preferences of colleges under the Delhi University. Candidates are also required to select the combination of the subjects. Pay the fees and submit the form.
Step IV : Counselling Process
The next step in the DU admission process is the Counselling process. After the CUET results are out, the DU CSAS releases the seat allocation lists for students. The students can ‘freeze’ their seat, if they are satisfied with the college, to secure admission in the respective college at DU. Note: Once you freeze your seat, you won’t be considered for further upgradation in any other college.
