IIM Indore IPMAT Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the IIM Indore IPM program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Candidates should have been born on or after August 01, 2005. A 5-year relaxation is provided for SC/ST/PwD category candidates, meaning they should be born on or after August 01, 2000.
- Qualifying Exam (Standard XII/HSC or equivalent): Candidates should have passed this examination or must be appearing for it.
- Standard X/SSC or Equivalent: Candidates should have passed Standard X/SSC or its equivalent.
Important Notes:
- Candidates who are likely to end their 12 th standard by the end of July can apply provisionally. Their admissions will be valid after passing the eligibility requirements and fulfilling the required documents as they are being registered.
- Marks obtained in the 10 th and 12 th standards will be calculated as the percentage marks of the total sum of all subjects detailing on the mark sheet.
- International board students such as IGCSE and IB (Browser-only IB diploma and IB certificate) applicants are also welcome and will be required to submit the IB Indian Percentage Transcript.
- IIM Indore has the right to make final decisions regarding the eligibility conditions.
IIM Indore IPMAT Exam Pattern
IPMAT 2025 will be a computer-based test of 2 hours duration, divided into three sections with specific time limits:

Each question carries 4 marks. For Quantitative Ability (MCQ) and Verbal Ability (MCQ) sections, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. IIM Indore IPM Admission Process
The admission process for IIM Indore’s IPM program is rigorous and multi-staged, designed to select well-rounded candidates with strong academic potential and leadership aspirations.
1. Online Application Submission:
Eligible candidates must submit their application online through the official IIM Indore website. A non-refundable application fee is required, with a concession for candidates from SC/ST/PwD categories.
2. Aptitude Test (AT):
Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the IPMAT. The Aptitude Test (AT) will be conducted across multiple cities in India. The test will assess candidates in various sections, including Quantitative Ability (MCQ and SA) and Verbal Ability (MCQ).
3. Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI):
Based on the performance in the Aptitude Test, a pool of candidates with positive raw scores and who meet the minimum sectional cut-off marks will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI). The Aptitude Test Score (ATS) is computed by assigning different weights to each section.
4. Personal Interview (PI):
Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Personal Interview. The interview panel, consisting of experienced faculty members, assesses candidates on various parameters such as confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion abilities, and overall knowledge. A minimum performance level in all parameters is required for further consideration.
5. Final Selection and Merit List:
The final merit list is generated based on a Composite Score (CS), which is a combination of the Aptitude Test Score (ATS) and the Personal Interview (PI) score. The Composite Score gives 65% weightage to the Aptitude Test Score and 35% to the Personal Interview. Provisional admission offers are made according to the category-wise merit list, adhering to Government of India reservation norms.
IIM Indore IPM Selection Process
The selection process is a comprehensive evaluation of a candidate’s potential. It involves:
- Aptitude Test Score (ATS): This forms a significant part of the evaluation (65% weightage in the final composite score).
