CAT Slot 1 Exam Analysis 2025- Key Highlights

The CAT Slot 1 exam was moderately difficult. Candidates should check the CAT Slot 1 analysis to understand their performance level. The key highlights of the CAT 2025 Slot 1 Test analysis are:

  • The Verbal Ability (VA) section covered MCQs and TITA questions. Questions were about Para Jumbles, Summary, Odd Sentence Out, etc. 
  • There were no changes to the overall format of the DILR section. It had a balanced mix of MCQs and TITA questions, with 11 of each.
  • QA comprises a total of 22 questions. Out of these, 14 were MCQs, and 8 were TITA questions. There were no major changes in the format of this section.

The CAT VARC section had 8 VA and 16 RC passages in Slot 1. What was new this year? RC passages included vocabulary-specific questions, and VA featured parajumbles. It was a moderately difficult section. RC passages were on topics like electronic music, mental disorders, economic growth, and complex systems. CAT Slot 1 DILR Analysis

The CAT DILR section comprises a total of 22 questions in Slot 1. There were a total of five sets in the section. In this section, 11 questions were multiple-choice, and 11 questions were TITA. As per the student’s feedback, this section was a bit difficult. The DI sets were based on import and export and comparison-based figures.
