The Consortium of National Law Universities conducts the CLAT exam for admission to various UG law programs across India. This article includes a comprehensive study plan for 13 months of study for CLAT 2027, along with a daily review and weekly plan to help students balance their preparation.
CLAT 2027 Schedule: Overview
As of October 25, 2025 the students still have around 13 months before the CLAT 2027. The preparation plan is divided into 3 phases keeping a balanced coverage of all of the 5 sections — English, Current Affairs & GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.

Key Section Focus Areas
English – Reading comprehension Practice, making inferences, dealing with tone, vocabulary-in-context
Current affairs and GK – Compiling monthly bundles from the past 6-8 months and revising weekly
Legal Reasoning – Principle-based reasoning applied to factual situations, based on analytical approach
Logical Reasoning – which assumes either arguments that strengthen/ weaken an argument or inference
Quantitative Techniques – Arithmetic DI, ratio, percentage, averages, charts
Preparation Advice For CLAT 2027
- Emphasize repeating activities over creating or completing new activities after Phase 1
- Have a reading habit that stays consistent throughout the year
- Try to achieve sectional drills for English, Legal & LR regularly
- Be attempting mocks if not always beginning in Phase 2 if building consistent habits
- Be deliberate in analyzing all mocks for error pattern recognition
- Keep GK revision weekly and monthly without break
