IIM Kozhikode has shared it’s selection criteria for PGP admissions of 2026-28 batch. Candidates who have filled the application form for IIMK can expect the response from institute. Although, IIM Kozhikode follows three stage process for the selection criteria that works as an admission policy. The first stage is the registration of candidates based on minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute, followed by stage 2 that is the shortlisting for Personal Interview & Written Ability Test, lastly final shortlisting of candidates based on the computed scores which include CAT 2025, WAT, PI and scores of resume. IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria – 3 Stage Process

IIM Kozhikode follows these three stage selection process for admission in PGP (2026-2028). Candidates should fulfill the basic eligibility criteria to get shortlisted for the next process which is Written Ability Test and Personal Interview and finally a score is computed based on CAT 2025 scores, WAT, PI and resume score. Let’s discuss all the stages for IIM Kozhikode selection criteria in a detailed manner.

IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria Stage 1 – Registration of Candidates (Minimum Eligibility Criteria)

The candidates should follow these basic eligibility criteria for proceeding to the further stage which is mentioned below.

  1. Candidates should have the graduation degree of atleast 3 years and also secure atleast 60% in their graduation. Candidates should cover atleast three years of education after completing class 12th.
  2. Candidates who have or does not have graduation degree but complete any of the professional degrees like CA, CMA, ICWA or CS examinations must contain atleast 50% aggregate in that.

Note: Candidates who fulfill the basic eligibility criteria mentioned above will only able to register for IIM Kozhikode’s PGP program. The candidates will get the email with instructions for online registration and those students who have successfully completed the registration will only able to proceed for the next stage (stage 2).

IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria Stage 2 – Shortlisting for WAT & PI

Candidates who have successfully completed the online registration will get eligible for the second stage that is shortlisting for WAT & PI. In this stage, candidates should be analyzed based on various factors like CAT 2025 scores, class X, class XII, Gender Diversity, Academic Diversity and Work Experience. The weightage provided to the various parameters is mentioned in the table specified below.

Important Points to Check:

  1. Candidates who have not received marks for Class X/SSC due to COVID-19 pandemic, the weightage 15% shall be split between the CAT 2025 exam scores and Class XII percentage scores.
  2. Candidates who have not received marks for Class XII/HSC due to COVID-19 pandemic, the weightage 15% shall be split between the CAT 2025 exam scores and Class X percentage scores.

IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria Stage 3 – Final Shortlisting

Candidates in the final stage selected for the Written Ability Test followed by Personal Interview and IIM Kozhikode conducts the process in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kozhikode and New Delhi. The process will conduct in the first-half (morning or lasts to afternoon). In WAT, candidates have to write an essay provided by the panel before it starts followed by the Personal Interview. The final scores are computed based on the factors mentioned in the table below.
