Challenges Faced By NEET Candidates
75 NEET exam candidates in Indore faced severe troubles while writing the exam. On May 4th, students in the Indore district were writing the NEET exam peacefully until the weather turned bad. It started raining heavily which led to a power cut for more than 2 hours. Since, there were no arrangements made for substitute electricity in the examination hall, students were made to complete their exam in candle light.
Severe weather conditions forced rainwater into the exam hall causing candidates to relocate to a dry place to complete the exam. After relocation of candidates away from the rainwater filled exam halls, students faced difficulty in completing the exam as no extra time was given. Some amount of time was wasted in relocation while the remaining time was disrupted due to the sustained power cut.
Implications of the MP HC Ruling on NEET Results
The ruling of the MP HC releases the burden of all NEET candidates except a few. As per the order, NTA is free to release the NEET exam results for all other test takers without any boundations. Earlier during the hearing, an order was passed to withhold NEET 2025 results for all the candidates.
When the HC passed this order, it was a big concern for all medical aspirants as the results are important to decide the college, course and so on. After knowing the NEET results, candidates can properly plan their academic goals ahead. But for the 75 affected candidates who faced issues while writing the exam, the NEET result date is yet to be decided. The HC has ruled that a re-exam will not be held for these students.
