The NEET exam pattern 2026 is based on the NEET 2025 pattern. Until now, no changes have been made by the NTA regarding the examination pattern. Out of syllabus questions are not asked in the NEET exam. Each correct question will be given +4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. The subject-wise marking scheme includes 45 marks for both Physics and Chemistry and 90 marks in Biology.

Total Question in the NEET exam will be 180 as per the pattern. Students will have 3 hours or 180 minutes to complete the test paper. In the previous years NEET paper, a section B was present which comprised optional questions. This old format based section B has been eliminated in the latest NEET exam pattern. As per the latest NEET paper pattern 2026, candidates have to answer mandatory 180 questions in 3 hours with no extra time given.
