NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for 2025 took place on 4th May 2025. The final results for Round 1 seat allotment were officially announced on 13th August 2025. Upon qualifying NEET 2025 Exam, it was time to attend the counselling sessions conducted by MCC. In total, four different rounds are organised for the NEET UG 2025 Counselling session. Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and the Stray Vacancy Round summarise the entire counselling procedure. In the 1st and NEET Round 2 Counselling, candidates can appear to secure a seat through the All India Quota (15%), Deemed and Central universities only. If by any chance you couldn’t appear for the first two counselling sessions, didn’t register or weren’t assigned a seat in the first two rounds, you need not lose hope. You are still eligible to appear for NEET Round 3 Counselling, which is generally classified as the Mop-Up Round and is conducted for allocating seats through the 85% state quota.
At the end, if you didn’t get into any medical college, then attending the “Stray Vacancy Round” is the only option. Thus, if you’re a candidate who qualified for NEET in 2025, then ensure that you attend the initial counselling rounds with proper documents for getting admission into a prestigious medical institute to pursue an MBBS or BDS degree. Also, be extremely cautious while registering for the NEET Round 2 Counselling, filling and locking your seats and paying the registration charges if you didn’t apply for Round 1.
