What Should You Do After JEE Advanced 2025?

The options provided below are a few alternatives that candidates opt for based on their JEE Advanced results.  They are as follows:

#1 Register for JoSAA Counselling for Admission in IIT

If you cleared your JEE Advanced  2025, the next step is the register for JoSAA counselling. The registration is online, where candidates need to select their preferred IITs and programmes they wish to opt for. The choices are to be locked before the stipulated time. To ensure that candidates understand the seat allocation process and accordingly adjust their choices, JoSAA conducts mock seat allotment. The final seat allotment results are released in multiple rounds. Candidates, to whom seats are allotted, need to download the allotment letter and pay the seat acceptance fee. Next, candidates need to visit the respective reporting centres for document verification. Finally, candidates can then report to the IIT allotted and confirm their admission.

#2 Register for JoSAA Counselling for Admission in NIT or IIIT or GFTI

In case you have not cleared your JEE Advanced  2025, do not lose hope. Your JEE Main 2025 marks can help you take admission in any NIT/IIIT/GFTI of your choice. You need to register for JoSAA counselling for the same as well. However, there are few points that you need to consider:

  • Remember, when registering for counselling, you need to strategise and accordingly select your college preferences and programmes. The combination must yield the best results.
  • Do not take too long to decide, as you need to register, lock the choices and accept the seat within a specified time. You can lose your chance if you do not complete the necessary procedure on time.
  • When a seat is allotted, visit the reporting centres on time for document verification. Also, you need to visit the allotted institute as communicated to confirm the admission.
  • In case there are few vacant seats after all the JoSAA rounds are conducted, the remaining seats are allotted through Central Seat Allocation Board CSAB counselling.
