Madras HC Order On NEET Result 2025
On May 16th 2025, Justice V. Lakshminarayanan heard pleas from 13 candidates regarding a bad experience in their NEET exam. Why are Chennai candidates worried about their NEET results?
Among 464 candidates, 13 candidates are worried that the power cut at NEET exam centre in Chennai will affect their results. These candidates claimed that the power cut started at 3:00 PM and continued till 4:15 PM. The NEET exam centre managed by the NTA did not ensure a proper backup system to keep the lights on even during power cuts.
Location Change, Extra Time Not Given
To add to the candidate’s growing anxiety regarding their results, rainwater entered the Avadi examination centre during the NEET exam. Candidates were asked to relocate to another place and were given no extra time to make up for the lost time while travelling. Poor management by the exam authorities, lack of proper arrangement to provide electricity during power outages, and denial of extra time to cover the lost time are some of the reasons that will affect NEET candidate’s results.
