1.What Are the New UG Programs at IIM Bangalore?

IIM Bangalore is stepping into undergraduate education with two exciting new programs:

•  B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics with a Minor in Data Science & Business 
•  B.Sc. (Hons.) in Data Science with a Minor in Economics & Business

These are residential programs conducted on-campus at IIMB’s Jigani campus, located 27 km from the main Bangalore campus.

3.Eligibility Checklist:

Here’s a simple explanation of the Eligibility criteria for IIMB’s UG Program:

  I. Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025)

•General Category: You have to be 20 years or less

•Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD): You may apply if you are 22 years or less

This age restriction is intended to synchronize with students who are either at the completion stage of their school studies or at the beginning of their undergraduate studies.

II. Academic Requirements

To become eligible on academic levels, you need to fulfill the below-mentioned requirements:

•   You need to have cleared Class 12 (or comparable) from any recognized board

•  Class 12 Mathematics is essential

•  You need to have achieved at least 60% marks in Class 12 Mathematics

•  You should also have at least 60% overall in Class 10

4.Admission Process Course Structure & Exit option:

• A national-level entrance exam will be conducted in December 2025
• Followed by a personal interview

The entrance test will include:

• Mathematics
• Logical Reasoning
• English Language
• General Knowledge

5.Course Structure & Exit Option

• Based on National Education Policy (NEP)
• Exit after 3 years: You receive a B.Sc. degree
• Complete 4 years: You earn a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree

Each program starts with 40 students — small, selective, and focused. Total student strength will grow to 640 by 2031.

• 2 internships
• 1 international term
• Focused modules in philosophy, ethics & communication

• Tuition Fees: ₹8.5 lakh per year
• Total Cost (4 years): ~₹34 lakh
