Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026 Key Highlights
The official coordinating IIM for JAP 2026 is IIM Raipur. IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Tiruchirappalli shall admit students to its MBA courses through JAP. The MBA programme offered at these colleges is for 2 years carried out in residential mode for full-time. PG MBA course degree is for students and working professionals from all disciplines.

What is IIM JAP 2026
IIM JAP is a newly created admission process by the IIMs. 4 IIMs have made a common process for admission into their MBA programmes and other MBA courses with specializations. It is compulsory to register for JAP 2026 if you wish to enrol for the MBA programme at top IIMs including IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Tiruchirappalli. Among them, IIM Raipur has launched the JAP portal for 2026 and shall conduct the admission process in coordination with other 3 IIMs. JAP 2026 admission policy is out on the live portal for updates. Why Was JAP 2026 Introduced?
The IIM JAP process was introduced in September 2025 to streamline admission processes including registration, application filtration, and candidate shortlist for PI. The primary reason to introduce a new admission process through a different portal is to improve ease of access for the IIM applicants and to support academic and selection standards. Another reason JAP 2026 was introduced is to create a single-window for applications and evaluation thereafter. Â
How to Register for IIM JAP 2026?
It is crucial to know how to register for JAP 2026 if you want to take admission into IIM Raipur, IIM Trichy, IIM Kashipur or IIM Ranchi. The date for registration will be announced soon. Below are a few steps to help you understand how to register for JAP 2026.
Step 1: Fill out the JAP 2026 Registration Form through the invite link sent to your registered mail ID (used for CAT 2025) based on your CAT result.
Step 2: Select 3 different cities to appear for the PI round in order of preference.
Step 4: Register online for JAP 2026 by logging into the official portal. Use the login ID and password provided in the invite mail.
Step 5: There is no registration fee for JAP 2026. Once your application is successful, you will receive a confirmation mail on your registered email ID.
IIM JAP 2026 Cutoff
The CAT 2025 cutoff for IIM JAP 2026 is out now. Each student who has cleared the cutoffs category wise are eligible for PI shortlist. IIM JAP 2026 CAT cutoff means the minimum eligibility criteria for admission into IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy and IIM Kashipur. General students need at least 50-60% marks in their higher school and graduation degree to apply for JAP 2026. The CAT cutoff for JAP 2026 includes VARC, DILR and QA sectional percentiles.

IIM JAP 2026 Selection Process
IIM JAP is an admission gateway to 4 participating IIMs. Each IIM participating in JAP shall conduct their final admission as per their own admission policy. But the JAP helps streamline the registration, shortlisting, and WAT/PI rounds. Students have to fill out 1 common application form and take 1 common PI/WAT round for admission to IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy and IIM Kashipur.

JAP 2026 Work Experience Score
Your work experience up to January 31st, 2025 will be considered in the JAP application process. Valid proof for a full-time paid job is mandatory to submit. You must mention complete work years in months, days or years. Your work experience must begin after clearing your graduation degree or in the same year but not before it.
