Who is CAT Topper Sreeja Biswas?
Sreeja Biswas is a Non-Engineer. Talking about her academic qualifications, she has completed her graduation from from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and got a Bloomberg scholarship after graduation to pursue diploma in business journalism. Interned at Bloomberg as a business journalist for 2.5 months. She interacts with several CEOs, fund managers and covers all the major news and information in the finance industry. In her role of around 18 months, she covers news about PE-VC deals as a journalist with Hindustan Times Media Group. Later when she came to know that there is a deep dive into the finance industry, she further decided to finally appear for the CAT examination. With an impressive percentile in the Common Admission Test, Sreeja got an interview calls from top B-schools like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Shillong, IIM Mumbai and more.
And after interviews as a final result, she converted IIM Shillong successfully.
How’s the Interview Process of Sreeja Biswas (IIM Shillong Convert)
When Sreeja had given an interview in one of the IIMs, she was intrusively asked the question, “Why an MBA?” As an answer she confidently covers her job role and qualifications, with an interest in digging deep into finance concepts as well as subjects, and ending the answer abour how she wants to go from news.
How did iQuanta help in her CAT preparation journey?
When she decided to appear for the CAT exam, she was confused about the exam difficulty and depth. Though when preparing for the CAT exam, she encounters a major problem in Quant. She missed the practice after the 10th grade and struggled in the subject to understand the concepts. She was happy to build her concepts and more importantly, after the live class, she never misses attending the application classes. She shares how she may miss the live classes during her job, but she never misses the application class, followed by peer interaction around the same questions.
