From Low Academics and Gap Years to Cracking Several IIMs
Talking about his academic qualifications, he scored 90% in Class 10 and felt like the beginning of something great, but life here changed quickly. Due to poor choices of subjects, a growing passion for badminton and then ultimately loss of his father, everything started slipping. In fact the major impact is completely visible in his 12 marks, where he scored 60%. Eventually, later, he landed at a tier-3 college for pursuing his graduation degree, but even there he kept chasing something bigger. He appeared for the Combined Defence Services Examination. He cleared the written exam for CDS twice but unfortunately, both times missed the final merit list.
After investing years into one dream, the gap year simultaneously increased, and self-doubt followed from not doing anything further. But during this phase, Ashwani found comfort in badminton. He trained him there seriously and won a corporate national tournament and finally landed as a certified badminton coach.
But somehow the dream never left behind; he eventually pushed him towards management, but when he looked at his profile, things didn’t look ideal. His profile sounds as 8/6/7 with no work experience and 2-3 years of gap. But finally for him it became a complete motivation.
