CUET 2026 Overview
NTA conducted the CUET UG 2026 between May 11 – June 7, 2026. A total of 15,68,866 students registered for the exam. A jump of approximately 2.14 lakh over the previous year’s figure of 13,54,699. A total of 67.56 lakh tests were conducted across all subjects, with each student opting for an average of 4.31 subjects.
The CUET UG 2026 result is expected to be declared in the first week of July 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in, after which universities will release their individual cutoff lists, beginning approximately from the last week of July 2026.
The exam covers admissions to 44 central universities (including Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University) along with dozens of state, deemed, and private universities. Each subject paper carries 50 questions of 5 marks each, totalling 250 marks per subject and up to 1,250 marks for a student attempting five subjects.
