What is DU JAT?

Delhi University Joint Admission Test(DU JAT) is a national level entrance test conducted by national testing Agency(NTA) for admission to professional undergraduate programs including BBA, BMS(Financial Investment Analysis), BA(Hons) offered by 16 colleges affiliated to Delhi University.

DU JAT Syllabus

DU JAT comprises of four sections which are as follows-

1.Quantitative Ability

  • Numbers
  • Profit and Loss
  • Fractions and decimals
  • Ration and Proportion
  • Graphs and Pie chart

2. Reasoning and Analytical Ability

  • Verbal Analogy
  • Word Sequence
  • Terms and Prepositions
  • Time Sequence
  • Number Series
  • Direction and Distance
  • Verbal reasoning and missing characters

3. General English

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Synonyms and antonyms
  • Fill in the blanks

3. General Awareness

  • Geography
  • Economics
  • History
  • Politics 
  • Current Affairs
  • Science
  • Computers

DU JAT Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for appearing in DUJ AT exam are as follows-

  • A candidate must score a minimum of 60% aggregate in class 12 in case of General Category.
  • A candidate must score a minimum of 55% aggregate in class 12 in case of SC, ST, CW, PWD Category.
  • A candidate must score a minimum of 54% aggregate in class 12 in case of OBC Category.

DU JAT Paper Pattern

  • DU JAT Paper comprises of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying four marks each as well as one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • DU JAT is conducted in computer-based mode for a duration of 2 hours.
  • It has a sectional weightage of 25 marks.
  • In totality there are four sections namely Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and analytical ability, English and General awareness.
  • The difficulty level is as follows-
  1. Quantitative Ability- Moderate
  2.  Reasoning and Analytical ability- Moderate to difficult
  3. English- Moderate
  4. General awareness –Easy to moderate

DU JAT Application Form

Candidates can fill the DU JAT Application form online. Candidate can follow the below mentioned procedure to apply for DU JAT.

  • Visit the Delhi University Admission Portal.
  • Complete the one time registration and generate login credentials.
  • Filling personal details in application form
  • Filling Academic details
  • Uploading documents in prescribed format.
  • Followed by payment of DU JAT application form.
  • The examination fees for General/OBC/CW category is INR 750,whereas for SC/ST/Pwd/ESW category is INR 300.
