IIM Bangalore UG: Detailed Exam Day Guidelines
If you’re sitting for the IIM Bangalore UG entrance, whether for B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics or B.Sc. (Hons.) Data Science, a few simple things can save you a lot of stress on the day. Most of the trouble at exam centres comes from small oversights, not from the paper itself. Here’s what to sort out beforehand.
Print your admit card: Download it from the IIMB portal and take a printed copy along. Your name, exam date, reporting time and centre are all on it, and you won’t get far without it.
Bring an original photo ID: A government-issued one, not a photocopy or a phone screenshot. The name and details on it should match what you entered at registration. If there’s a mismatch, fix it well before the exam, not at the gate.
Get there early: Check your reporting time and plan to arrive ahead of it. Traffic, a wrong turn or a late cab can eat up more time than you expect, so build in a cushion.
Know the exact address: Don’t go by the city name alone. Look up the full address of your centre, and if you can, visit the route a day earlier or at least check it on a map.
Leave restricted items at home: Calculators, phones, smartwatches, notes, and study material are not allowed inside the hall. Go through IIM Bangalore’s instructions once so nothing in your bag gets you into trouble.
