From Losing the CAT Exam To Finally Converting XLRI Delhi

Aditya enrolled in iQuanta for CAT preparation in May (Batch 2), and initially things were going really well, where CAT mocks started improving as well as 99.5+ percentile scores becoming frequent. But suddenly things changed in September when he fell seriously ill. Things for Aditya got so bad that he had to be admitted to the hospital for over a week.

Even after coming back home, recovery didn’t feel normal; he got involved around drips, medicines, and weakness. This led to a bad impact where, within just 15 days, he lost around 9 kgs, but at that point, CAT exam preparation completely stopped. And when CAT day finally arrived, he still wasn’t fully recovered. He sat for the CAT examination feeling dizzy as well as couldn’t even properly read the reading comprehensions. Things overall didn’t go as planned, and he finally ended up with the 90.14 percentile, but at the same time he better knew that as a GEM fresher this is not enough.

Somewhere during that difficult phase, Indrajeet sir stepped in and motivated him by giving an internship. That’s when his major focus shifted towards the XAT exam, and he joined iQuanta’s XAT course for pursuing XAT exam preparation. He rigorously attended classes, solved assignments and PYQs to pace the XAT preparation journey. The preparation material of iQuanta worked like gold for him, and eventually he scored 98 percentile in the Xavier Aptitude Test.

He got straight rejection from XLRI Jamshedpur BM and HRM and somehow a waitlist from XLRI Delhi BM. At that point, the journey of his could’ve broken anyone, but it finally worked out, and he successfully converted to the XLRI Delhi. The iQuanta team congratulating Aditya for his consistent efforts!

Conclusion

Sometimes, everything goes wrong all at once, without warning, like health, exams, interviews, and results. The very pillars you built your plans on start to crack, and life doesn’t pause to let you catch your breath. But here’s something which no one tells you that falling apart and moving forward aren’t opposites. You can be exhausted and uncertain but still keep going forward to chase your goal or dream, whatever is planned. You can lose the battle on every front and still not lose yourself.
