The JEE Main correction window will open from December 1st to December 2nd, 2025, until 11:50 pm. The answer to ‘will NTA provide a correction window’ is yes. An announcement has already been made by the NTA that candidates appearing for the JEE Main session 1 will have a 1 chance to edit their application details in the correction window.
Additional fees may apply only when there is an impact on the fees. Students will have to pay these additional charges if applicable to complete their JEE Main application correction process. You will not be allowed to change the correction form once it is submitted. The JEE Main correction form gets frozen after a candidate has made corrections once. There is no second chance to correct your JEE Main application.
The application window for JEE Main January session form corrections will open for 1 day only during December 2025. For the April session, the JEE Main correction window will open during February 2026 (tentative). To make corrections, students will have to log into the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in using their application number and password.

What is the Correction Window in JEE Mains?
The correction window in JEE Mains is a one-time option provided to the registered candidates to make changes in their application form. Correction procedure is allowed only once per application form. The correction window is a short duration in which students can make corrections to their forms. The duration of the JEE Main correction window is 1 day during December 2025.

- Students can alter their parents name, exam centres, etc.
- The correction may involve additional charges which must be paid off.
- The correction window opens for all to make changes but only once.
- No 2 chances for corrections shall be provided to any candidate irrespective of their category.
JEE Main 2026: What Correction Can I Make?
In the JEE Main application form for the January session, you can make corrections in your parents name, exam venue, etc. The changes can be made only once so be cautious when updating the details on your JEE Main session 1 application form. Application form for January JEE Main 2026 session shall close by January 27th, 2025.

Are Fees Applicable on the JEE Main Correction Window?
It depends whether you will have to pay extra fees at the time of correction of your application form or not. Fees are applicable on the JEE Main correction window only when there is an impact on the fee. In other words, if the changes that you shall be making in your JEE Main session 1 application form are such that they result in a higher application fee, additional charges will apply.
- Additional charges apply if the change made affects the fee.
- If you change your category, opt for more than 1 paper, or change the exam city preference to a foreign location, you will have to pay extra fees as applicable.
- For small corrections like spelling mistakes, educational details, or medium of question paper no additional fee is applied.
Is the JEE Main Correction Window Fee Refundable?
No, additional fee paid for changes to your JEE Main application form are non-refundable even if the changes made have a lower applicable fee. For example, changing your student category from General to SC/ST has a lower applicable fee and if you have already paid the additional charges as requested by the system, you will not be refunded your amount no matter how big or small it is.
