JoSAA 2025 counselling process has officially begun, with registration and choice filling now open on the official website- josaa.nic.in. Candidates can submit their applications and fill in their choices until June 12,2025. The first round of seat allotment results will be announced on June 14. This year’s counselling process will take place over six rounds and the complete schedule, along with the detailed rules and guidelines, is available on JoSAA portal.
The JoSAA seat matrix has also been published, listing academic programs and category-wise intake across participating institutes. In total, 62,853 UG engineering seats will be offered through JoSAA 2025 counselling. For any seats that remain unfilled after all six JoSAA rounds, the CSAB 2025 counselling will be conducted to ensure optimal utilization of available seats.

JoSAA 2025 Choice Filling
Once registered, candidates can move on the JoSAA 2025 choice filling process. Before proceeding, they must verify an OTP sent to their registered mobile number and email ID. After successful verification, the list of available institutes and programmes will be displayed.
Applicants can fill choices based on institute type, name and specific courses. It is advisable to fill as many preferences as possible and arrange them in the desired order. Candidates can modify their list by rearranging, interchanging or deleting choices at any time untilthe deadline.
Once satisfied, candidates should lock their choices. After locking, no further changes can be made. If candidates should lock manually, the system will lock their preferences automatically at the end of the deadline. A PDF of the locked choices can also be downloaded for future reference.
