The NMAT application form filling process for 2026 has already started and if you have not filled it yet, you are already behind. The NMAT registration 2026 started on August 20, 2026 and will continue till October 10, 2026. The exam scheduling also opens on the same day of registration. The NMAT 2026 exam will take place between November 2nd and December 20th 2026. Here’s what you need to do, explained in detail.

How To Fill Your NMAT Application Form: A Step by Step Guide 

Keep handy a valid email ID, a valid phone number, a government ID, a recent passport size photograph in jpg/jpeg format before starting with the NMAT application process.

Now that you have all the requirements, here’s the step by step instructions that you need to follow:

Step 1: Create Your NMAT Account

To start with the NMAT application form filling process, open www.mba.com and click on the exam section. From there, select NMAT by GMAT. Or you can also directly click on www.mba.com/exams/nmat. 

Click on ‘Register for NMAT by GMAC’, if you are registering for the current testing cycle for the first time. You will land on the NMAT registration page where you need to enter the following details: 

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Password 
  • Re-enter Password 

Next, you need to read the communication preferences clauses and ticket the boxes. Next, solve the eCAPTCHA and click on ‘Create Account’.

Step 2: Manage Your NMAT Profile

After clicking on ‘create account’, you will be redirected to the ‘Manage NMAT Profile’ page where you need to enter your mobile number and select the country from where you would like to take the NMAT 2026. Next, tick the boxes and click on ‘Submit’.

Step 3: Open Your NMAT Dashboard 

Next, you will receive an email from NMAT by GMAC to verify your email address. Once you verify your will land on mba.com/nmat page. Here,click on ‘NMAT by GMAC dashboard’ tab. From this dashboard, you will get information and access to all the NMAT application process requirements.

Step 4: Fill NMAT Application Form 2026

On the NMAT dashboard, click on ‘Register Now’.For NMAT registration you will need a soft copy of a recent passport size photograph not older than 6 months and similar to the image in your government ID that you will be using for verification purposes.

The NMAT application form is divided into six stages – Personal Information, Contact Information, Education/Work Experience, School Preference, Additional Information, Declaration and Payment.

Step 4.1: Select B-schools To Submit Score Report

Now, select 5 of your favourite B-schools you can send your NMAT 2026 score to for free. For every additional B-school you select, you need to pay a fee of Rs 400 along with 18% GST.

Step 4.2: Upload Your Passport Photograph

You need to upload a recent passport-size photo that is not more than 360 days old. It must be the same or similar to the one in your photo ID proof. A mismatch can create problems during ID verification at the test center.

Step 4.3: Pay the NMAT Registration Fee

You need to pay the NMAT 2026 application fee through the available online payment modes – Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The NMAT 2026 registration fee that you need to pay is Rs 3,000 plus 18% GST. 

Once you have paid the NMAT application form fee, you will receive an 11-digit alpha-numeric number in your dashboard under the ‘NMAT by GMAC ID’ tab.

Step 5: Schedule your NMAT

Now that the NMAT application process is over, on your NMAT dashboard, click on ‘Book Exam Slot’ option. Here you can select the date, time and exam mode. 

Upon clicking ‘Book Exam Slot’, a display box will pop-up where you need to select the exam mode. All Indian aspirants need to select the ‘At Test Centre’ button and click on ‘Submit’. 

Next, you will be redirected to NMAT exam scheduler where you need to click on ‘Proceed’, follow the instructions on the screen to land on the page where you need to select the date and time of NMAT.

You will get the list of all the available slots. Select your preferable date and time and click on ‘Confirm’. Once it’s done, you will get a Success message on the ‘Screen’. You can then ‘Return to Dashboard’ or click on ‘Go to My Exams’ tab to check the exam status.

The NMAT by GMAC dashboard is the hub for all your exam related activities. From the dashboard, you can add additional B-school preferences, schedule/reschedule your exam slot, retake option which will be active once you have appeared in the NMAT. 

The ‘View Exam Status’ tab will be active once the NMAT admit card is available for download. You can download your admit card from the ‘download admit card’ option which will be available 7 days prior to your scheduled NMAT exam date.

After the result is out, your scorecard will be available for download in your dashboard itself. 

NMAT Application Form – Exam Retake Guidelines 

If you want to take a retake for NMAT 2026, you will have only three chances in one testing cycle. The testing cycle starts from July 1, 2026, and ends on July 30, 2026. Three chances include the NMAT 2026 exam plus two retakes. Once the NMAT 2026 exam is over, you can pay the retake fees.

Condition 1: If Your NMAT 2026 Score Is Valid

  • Eligible to book the next NMAT 2026 attempt immediately
  • The exam date must be 7 days or later than your previous exam date

Condition 2: If You Do Not Appear, Were Not Allowed, or the Exam Was Incomplete

  • Eligible to retake the exam.
  • Book your next exam slot after 24 hours of your NMAT 2026 exam
