MYTH 2: CLAT Exam is For ARTS Students Only.

But the thing to note is that the CLAT eligibility criteria don’t restrict entry based on your stream in 10+2. Whether you’ve taken Science, Commerce, or Humanities, you’re eligible. The key here is to ensure that you meet the required percentage criteria i.e. 45% marks in the Senior Secondary School Examination if you belong to the General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and 40% if you to SC/ST categories.

MYTH 5: One doesn’t need to Prepare for English Language.
Some students might underestimate the importance of English language skills in the CLAT exam. However, English comprehension is a crucial section that tests the candidate’s grasp of grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension abilities. As per the updated CLAT Exam Pattern, the English Language section consists of passages of 450 words followed by 4-5 questions. These passages are picked from history, fiction, and non-fiction genres. It will consist of 22-26 questions contributing 20% of the total CLAT Syllabus. To excel in this section, reading newspapers, and articles, and practicing grammar exercises are highly beneficial.

It is always good to have more time on your side, but is it required to put 2 whole years in CLAT preparation?
