How Did Rithik Prepare for the IPMAT and CUET Exam?

Like every other student, Rithik was also nervous during his preparation stage. Along with his XII examinations, he was also preparing for the IPMAT and CUET exam. Before starting his preparation, he was very clear about completing the 70% syllabus on-time so that he can appear for the full-length mocks and sectionals to gauge his preparation level.

The moment he completed his overall syllabus, Rithik started to attempt mocks for the IPMAT Indore and CUET entrance exam. Only for IPMAT Indore he practised around 35-40 full-length mocks. Meanwhile, for IPMAT Rohtak and JIPMAT, he gave only 5-10 mock tests to know the actual depth of his preparation.

Rithik’s Preparation Routine To Study for the IPMAT and CUET

Back from the summer holidays of class 11th, he started his preparation. His preparation climbed another stage after the month of August in the 12th grade. As said earlier, he was pretty serious about clearing the IPMAT Indore and thus put a full stop on CA preparation. He gave everything to prepare for the IPMAT Indore and had completed around 60-70% of the syllabus.

Although, he was still left with Geometry and a few segments of Higher Mathematics. Still, it was never a big issue for him. Mainly because it was studying the high-weightage topics and attempting questions with 100% accuracy. As a result, he was pretty much confident about his preparation because he effortlessly covered the topics which helped him to achieve a desired cut-off in the IPMAT exam.

Rithik’s Strengths and Weaknesses from the IPMAT syllabus

According to Rithik, he was average in Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability. After completing his preparation, he gave his first mock around November. His mock score in the first attempt was around 184 which was truly unbelievable for him. However, his second mock score was 113.

This made him realise that even with strong preparation there can be significant difference in every mock so it’s vital to appear for a good number of mocks. By appearing for multiple mock tests for the IPMAT exam, a candidate gets to comprehend the repetitive mistakes and gets relevant time to fix them.

What Role Did iQuanta Mocks Play in His IPMAT Preparation?

For Rithik, iQuanta’s mocks have been an actual saviour. The AI-based mock performance analysis and error tracker gave him a comprehensive idea about the mistakes. Being a dedicated candidate, he fixed it which led to significant score improvement. Slowly, he started scoring around 220-240 in the IPMAT mocks during his preparation timeline.

There were around 3-4 questions from the Quants that were similar to our preparation course and the mocks provided by iQuanta. To this he also adds that every candidate must aim to practice questions from different levels. According to him, revision is also an important part of the IPMAT preparation.

Once you develop a strong understanding about a particular QA topic and can solve Level 1 & Level 2 difficulty level, you must still continue your revision. Staying consistent with his revision is something which he suggests to every future IPMAT aspirant. Truly, continuous revision was a key factor in his preparation for all the three examinations.

Simultaneously, there were major similarities in the RCs and Para Jumbles questions. Studying through our IPMAT preparation course and mocks helped him to ace the IPMAT exam. When it comes to his preparation, he had a crystal clear aim to solve at least 1 RC daily. He followed a strategic pattern and attempted around 1-2 RCs daily.

Slowly, it became a daily ritual for him and he was very consistent with his practice. Other than that he suggests that Para Jumbles is not something one can solve randomly. Out of 5 questions, if you’re sure about 3-4 then attempt only those questions in the IPMAT exam. Have a practical approach to build accuracy and reduce the chances of negative marking.
