Aarya Chandel is a CAT topper who cracked the Common Admission Test with a 99.72 percentile. She started her CAT preparation during the 3rd year of college (IIT Roorkee) when she saw her peers appearing for the Common Admission Test and choosing an MBA for an accelerated career trajectory. Apart from the successful conversion of top IIMs, she also got calls from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode.
How Did Aarya Start Her CAT Exam Preparation?
Arya’s CAT preparation journey started during her 3rd year of college (IIT Roorkee) when she saw her peers appearing for CAT and choosing MBA for an accelerated career trajectory. So, she started the preparation after some suggestions from her seniors and continued her studies while balancing the heavy academic environment in college.
However, discipline and commitment were there, but not the compassion. Doubts and fear were surrounding her confidence. Her preparation went on and off, and she started to miss days to prepare for the CAT. Until she started her internship, when she went to Bangalore and wanted to meet her college senior who was studying at IIM Bangalore.
That’s when the wind changed. When she went to the IIM Bangalore campus to meet her senior, she realised how such a place could be her next career trajectory. The campus, peer groups, and activities going on every time. Everyone is active. She felt her spark towards CAT preparation. So, she did her best, solved a tonne of mock tests, and finally the result arrived. She scored 99.72%ile in CAT 2025. Eventually this has been converted as a big win in her academic career.
