CLAT: Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification: Any candidate who has completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with the requisite score is eligible for the CLAT.
  • Minimum marks: A candidate needs to score a minimum 45% marks for General/ Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Specially abled persons categories. 5% relaxation is offered to candidates form Scheduled Class (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit
  • Note: Candidates appearing for their class 12th exams are also eligible to appear for CLAT

Exam Pattern

  • The exam is conducted for both UG and PG programs.
  • CLAT is conducted in offline mode.
  • The duration of CLAT is 120 minutes (2 hours).
  • Total Questions: 150
  • Marking scheme: For ever correct answer 1 mark will be awarded. For every incorrect answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.

  • Verbal Ability
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning
  • General Knowledge
  • Legal Aptitude
