IIM Bangalore – Final Placements 2019-21 batch


IIM Bangalore is considered among the top 3 B-Schools of India. As many iQuanta CAT Course students have got into IIM Bangalore so we wanted to research its placements & packages offered.

Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, recently completed its placement drive for the batch of 2019-2021. And as usual, the numbers are phenomenal with offers from various reputed organizations like Bain & Co., Amazon, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Co., leading the pack.

Overview:

Out of the 440 students, almost half the batch was offered PPOs while a staggering 120 companies took part in the placement drive making 480 offers in total. 8 students ended up with international offers. The 178 offers made during the final placement week shows that the placement drive was still going strong over the course of the entire period providing students with ample amount of opportunities.

Sector-wise breakup:
A closer look at the sector-wise breakup shows that most of the offers were from the Consulting domain followed by IT/Product Management and Finance respectively. Consulting had a lion’s share of 36% of the offers made, while IT/Prod Management stands at 17% and Finance and E-comm at 14% and 11% respectively. General Management and Sales & marketing stand at 9% each and the rest of the offers were from Business analytics and Operations which make up 4% of the offers together.

Preplacement Offers:
Bain & Co. leads the pack for # of PPOs with 15 offers, while top organizations like Goldman Sachs (11), Amazon (10), McKinsey & Company (10), Accenture Strategy (9), The Boston Consulting Group (8), Microsoft (6), Kearney (6), Procter & Gamble (5) also provided students with PPOs.

Companies and the number of offers:
The companies with the highest number of offers are listed below. Accenture rolled out the greatest number of offers at 41, followed by Amazon (28), Bain (24), Goldman Sachs (22), McKinsey (18), BCG (13), and Microsoft (12).

Packages and CTC:
IIM Bangalore has reported that the average CTC offered for students stands at 28.89 LPA while the median stands at 28.60 LPA which shows that despite the current COVID-19 situation, the institute is still able to churn out great numbers when it comes to remuneration.
